DIY: Replacing Drawer Slides

When old drawer slides become broken, sticky or non-functional, replace the drawer slides for a whole new look and a smooth operation. You no need to spend money to hire a worker or feel difficult in replacing old drawer slides, because we show you how to easily install ball bearing slides.
All you need is the new drawer slides and the screwdriver/or drill. Measure the depth of your cabinet from the front of the frame to the back wall and of the old sliders, then search for the right size of the new drawer slides. Now lets do it step by step:

Step 1 – Remove the drawer:
To remove the old slides, you’ll need to remove the drawer from the box. Pull the drawer carefully out as far as it will go, squeeze the drawer clips and lift the front of the box up at a 45 degree angle to remove the drawer out of the cabinet.
Step 2 – Remove old slides:
You may need Use the screwdriver to take all hardware completely off  in the drawer and in the cabinet. Use care so that you do not strip screw holes or damage the wood.
Step 3 – Install new glides:
Remove the detachable section of each drawer slides, and place it on the corresponding drawer side. Align the slides properly for installation. Begin by attaching the slides to the drawer box inside the cabinet first. Align the slides and use the measurements from the previous slides to be sure they are level. Screw the glides in. Then, mount the slides to the drawer, position the slides so that they are centered on their corresponding line and flush with the face of the drawer box. Remember, don't tighten any screws until you've checked the alignment.
Step 4: Insert the drawer:
With all the components in place, it’s time to reposition the drawer by sliding the wheeled slides into the guide tracks until the drawer slides click into the retention clips. If necessary, add a little lubrication to make sure everything operates smoothly.
